I have had great experiences dealing with Wheeler Metals. Their prices are reasonable and their equipment selection is robust. Pretty much anything wedding related is in the store and certainly anything you need to get your welding job done is available. As others have noted though, the website is not a good source of information. Your best bet is to call or show up.

I can't believe the sudden jump of prices this place has gone from a wholesale to a Tractor Supply retail level I'll just go internet from here on there's always a better source, bye bye Wheeler Metals
I needed a set of 12 ft. farm gates so I used their website to do some price checking. They were the cheapest and the website stated they had the gates in stock, so the wife and I drove a hour over there and when we went inside it was another story. We were told they had stopped carrying the gates in question but had others that were TWICE the price. When I asked how long ago they stopped I was told 8-9 months ago, if you no longer carry an item REMOVE it from your website. When I told the gentleman behind the counter that said gates were still advertised on the website he just said \sorry\ and went on about his business. If he had any idea how to treat a customer he would have apologized and asked if we would like a discount on the more expensive gate and kept the customer. The mark up for retail is generally between 30-60%, so as an experienced retail worker, you offer a 10-20% discount to keep the customer from turning around and never coming back. Which happened today. Not only did I have plans to use them for my future project of doing a large metal fence around a large portion of my property, I will no longer recommend them to MY customers anymore.
The prices are unbeatable but the consistency of the order being right is questionable, and you do usually have to wait a while.
