Same here, got an running a red light, although, I did ran when it was yellow then turned red while I’m in intersection. And of course police officer give me the 210 fine and I went to court, only to find out that when you contest the ticket, they don’t give a damn about the situation that you were in and automatically double your find for “thank you for contest the ticket.”

I don’t get why so many one-star reviews. I personally enjoy the Round Rock Municipal Court like those grade school field trips back to pioneer villages where everyone lives like it’s 100 years ago. Instead of paying your parking ticket online or by phone, you get to drive your horse and buggy to the court house on your only free morning at 11:30am on a Tuesday. But they’re closed for the day. Modern government institutions are such sellouts using fancy internet to pay tickets or just update their website & Google maps hours to announce closings (lame). The Round Rock Municipal Court does it right. They post a sign on the door that they’re closed for the day. That way, because you’ve already fought traffic, wandered around the maze that is downtown Round Rock, and finally found a parking space, when you do it again tomorrow, it’ll be a lot easier. I would give the Round Rock Municipal Court 4 stars for poor parking, but although closed, they left the doors open and I walked right in. Inside there are 2 or 3 government employees working on a day that the public could do no work at the court house. Their main job was to tell people what the sign said: “The court is closed, so come back tomorrow to pay your ticket.” 5-stars for efficiency and customer service! I’ll definitely be back. Because I have no other choice

I have always had a learning experience while accompanying others for support or matters for myself. I have always been met with a professional manner. The Bailiff has many years serving both in the courts along with a career in law enforcement. He is there to insure both for your safety and the Judge and staff. Rules that they have in place are there for both safety and to maintain order in court so things run smoothly and your time there is short! The clerks are just wonderful and professional, keep in mind we all have challenging days, they deal with a large volume of people with different personalities and from many other cultures. Understand that it is not personal and they are doing the aa much aa they are able to do in their efforts to help you! Court appearances are not everyone’s favorite matter to address, remember, we wouldn’t be here if we had not had not violated a law or code... they have a job as we do and it will all workout and be over soon., So smile and show humor you’ll find that the staff are human just like we are. Julia is one of the most friendly woman i have had to interact with, she is bubbly and funny. She has a positive attitude and enjoys her position, on top of showing a genuine concern to assist you. She will go above and beyond within her position to help....so follow her instructions and you’ll be fine! Keep in mind, she cam only do what she is able and that would depend on your situation. Do your best to have all proof, documentation etc to provide proof to help her expedite your matter to a good resolve for both courts and you! Remember, COMMUNICATION IS KEY! Julia, thank you for your instructions to assist me in my matter as I continue at The Academy. Semper Fi!
