They did a fireplace insert installation for us at the end of October of 2020. It was a few weeks getting the finishes installed. When we were able to use our new fireplace for the first time over the Christmas holidays, the basement filled with smoke (the fireplace is on the first floor of our house). I have called / gone into the store weekly trying to schedule an appointment for service to come out and investigate the problem. We are at 7 weeks of no return phone calls currently - I will keep trying - do they expect me to go away?

Had the unit installed in 2018. The FireSide team has been extremely helpful with install and any questions I’ve had about maintenance or cleaning the unit. We are very happy with the purchase and will use FireSide again on future items.

STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS. Big scam artists. They promise a price and agree to it and after they get half your money as a deposit they change the price on you. And if you try to cancel they slap you with a huge fee that makes it so cost prohibitive to find someone else because of the hundreds of dollars you would lose that you end up having to pay the extra 1,000 they decided to arbitrarily add on. ALSO, many positive reviews on here were left by their own employees or the contractors that they hire for the jobs. DO NOT BELIEVE ALL THE POSITIVE REVIEWS.

I think this place was taken over by a new owner recently. Regardless, we put 1/2 down for a new fireplace, they came out and started changing the price and saying it’s going to be way more and who knows. The fireplace is on a blank wall that could be vented directly to the outside with gas hookup nearby. Seeing that the guy didn’t know what he was doing and pricing wasn’t fixed even though we already agreed to a price at the store and put down the downpayment, we lost confidence in their ability and wanted to go ahead and cancel the order. They they threatened to charge us 10% of the price even though nothing had been ordered or picked out. After being screamed at by every swear word with the owner, he finally agreed to refund us. It was beyond unprofessional and we were literally called every word in the book along with claiming that we’re trying to cheat him. Well, the refund didn’t go through. And after 4 months of going back and forth, they refused to actually check their bank account to see that the refund never went through. So in the end we had to sue them just to get our refund. If you want to spare the hassle and insane insult of being yelled at repeatedly and have to sue them in the end just for them to do a simple refund, I would stay away from this company.

The reviews speak for themselves with Fireside, we bought a fireplace insert and had the facade redone, very very happy. Tommy & Jaye were super helpful. After my install I had some questions so I called the store to ask for help, I am a senior citizen and Daniel knew I needed help so he came over to my house after work to help me which he did not need to do. Thanks again.
