I am so touched by Ruckersville Animal Hospital. I have used them for many years but (for convenience) I have used a vet that is only minutes away from my house as well. Recently I received an email From RAH notifying me that my pet's vaccinations were due, to which I responded (by email) that sadly we had to euthanize that pet the week before. Within days I received a handwritten card from the staff with a sincere note from EACH staff member, including the doctors. The note was not at all generic AS WAS the one that I received from the other vet who actually euthanized her. I threw the one away from the other vet, but the one from Ruckersville Animal Hospital is special and I will keep it. Thank you for mentioning my girl's name and for taking the time to send a note during this very busy season for you all. That does not go unnoticed. Truly I am touched and as much as possible, I will only come to your office from now on. \u003c3 In loving memory of our beloved Medeco and with sincerity, The Bouch Family

I live in Charlottesville and have been looking for a progressive vet who considers the long-term, overall health and well being of my pet, not just insisting on meds but instead weighing out the long term risks of conventional treatments and also taking the time to personally research effective, non-drug approaches to supporting my cat's health issue. I am so pleased to have found Dr. Bruce at Ruckersville Animal Hospital. The front desk staff are friendly and caring and the technicians experienced at handling an upset pet with compassion and skill. Clearly this place is filled with animal lovers and cat whisperers! I highly recommend this practice.
