Our family had a wonderful evening at the Liberty observatory. We went in April and were able to see Venus and many other stars on a clear evening. The staff was an incredible help and really took to our kids explaining different unique facts about the stars they were viewing. The presentation was a great summary of everything we had seen. Our kids are begging us to take them back in the summer so they can see Jupiter and Saturn.
It was really cool. My wife and daughters (3 & 5 yrs) really enjoyed it. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. They point out the cool visible astronomy. We did not sit in on the class room presentation.
My wife and i gained interest in the cosmos a couple of years ago after i built a pretty impressive telescope from junk,yes junk from home and other places i might not add.. My wife in the fall of last year learned about the librity observator k and joined the face book site.everyone on staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. Thank yall for a great experience. I think everyone should give it go.thanks
I had an awesome experience the last time I visited. It's open to the public, but only on certain days or if you schedule ahead of time. Check the website before hand!
