If you truly want to learn Judo as a martial art, this is the place for you. Sensei Sergio and all of the black belts are passionate about Judo and will give you all the attention necessary to make sure you are actually learning. The club has a positive culture where everyone is there to help each other improve. This is the most legit club in the city and I highly recommend it.

I recently joined Ryoku Judo and the experience is EXCELLENT. First, they take all ages. They have respect for all levels. They push you to be your best but as an older man (57) I don't move as fast as I used to and they let me learn at my own pace. There are children in the class and we all work together to learn the art of Judo and respect for the language and terms of the sport. We learn the traditions as well as the expectations should we decide to compete. The school is VERY SAFE not just from any illness but also from injury. Great care is taken to ensure that all levels learn and grow without risk and when you get matched up with someone at your level and you want to "play rough" (with respect) you can go hard without fear of hurting yourself or your teammate. We are a team. It's a great team with a great staff. There are many Senior members who help you to understand all the elements and like I said.... they push you to be your best, understand the terminology and have great respect for the sport. If you join Ryoku Judo Club I guarantee that you'll be able to go ANYWHERE in the world and understand what is being said and asked of you in the sport. You can't put a price on respect.

Any person seeking to learn world class Judo I would not hesitate to recommend Ryoku Judo Club! This is real, hard training Dojo that has been continuously teaching adults and kids for more than 15 years in the heart of the city of Las Vegas, and its home for many local, regional and national Judo champions; and once you start training there you will see why. Sensei Sergio is not a “soft sensei”; he is a very hard and disciplined coach with years of experience training all age groups; you can expect from the rigorous spirit of a samurai mixed with the Cuban humor and temperament, he takes Judo very seriously. Same with assistant Sensei Miguel who is also very methodical, disciplined and detailed oriented. I was nicely surprised to know they trained Judo in our natal Cuba which has produced so many Olympic and World champions in all sport disciplines, and particularly very strong when it comes to Judo. Sensei Sergio has decided to keep this tradition in the heat of Las Vegas! You will be also nicely surprised how well organized and supported is this Judo club. It counts with the assistance of many other black belts instructors including Sensei Sergio’s both own sons Sergio Jr and Nelson, Chris Miguel, Luis and Perry, all of them very talented! All this support makes possible that Ryoku can afford lots a personalized supervision most of the time for everyone. This team loves the sport of Judo! You will feel like family in this Dojo! And finally but not less important you will get of these benefits without having to spent the high cost memberships of other gyms. I highly encourage you to try Ryoku Judo Club; and I can assure you will be thankful that you did.

When you enter Ryoku Judo Club, you are entering a REAL JUDO DOJO, Plenty of mat space, clean facility, Instruction is TOP NOTCH and you feel part of family. I visited other judo places in Las Vegas and they can't compare with Ryoku Judo. Great quality training partners, an excellent group of Black Belts always helping new students and sharing their knowledge. This a Club of Champions and serious judokas. Sensei Sergio loves teaching and loves the art, great Sensei ! If you ARE SERIOUS about Judo and want to learn with THE BEST, Ryoku Judo Club is YOUR DOJO!

Myself and our three kids, ages 12, 8 and 6 came to try it out. Our two older kids cried before just from being so nervous and anxious, but by the end of our 1st session, we fell in LOVE with Judo. Sensei Sergio and the other coaches have a traditional and disciplined way of teaching, but still know how to keep it fun and enjoyable. Our kids are doing awesome in training and not only can they now defend themselves, but they learn discipline, how to respect others and build confidence.
