Rick’s Dessert Diner is amazing! Every time we’ve been here the service was friendly and helpful and every dessert we’ve tried has been great. We just keep being impressed! This place is great and I highly recommend that everyone try it!

Rick's Dessert Diner is a very nice treat for any sweet craving. They have delicious pies and cakes and cookies and their ice cream is wonderful. Their chocolate chip cookies are big and just the right amount of sweet. There is no inside dining during parts of the covid 19 pandemic but it is still nice to be inside to order with the old-fashioned diner theme. There are some outside tables though that you can sit at. They sometimes have special treats like unique brownie dishes or canoles as well. Friendly staff and not too expensive for the quality of food.
Great selection of really excellent desserts, from cakes and pies to cookies and creme brulee. When indoor dining reopens, it will be nice to enjoy the 50s diner aesthetic again
Purchased creme brulee, 1000 leaves and a fruit tart & the wait wasn't bad & the treats are delicious!
Oh my goodness! If there is a dessert heaven, Rick's is the gatekeeper! Lovely cakes, pastries, pies and so much more! Fruit basket cake is one of my all time faves and Rick's delivered. A piece of Carrot cake, a Napoleon and a decadent chocolate cake were taken home along with the Fruit Basket cake. The carrot cake was filled with raisins, carrots and aromatic spices, topped with a cream cheese frosting that literally melted in your mouth. The Fruit Basket cake was light, moist and packed with kiwi, strawberries, grapes and bananas folded into whipped cream frosting. I think you get the idea at this point. We ate those desserts for two days because they were so rich and sweet. Served with a cup of strong black coffee and Rick's earns it's place as the best dessert destination in the greater Sacramento area.
