I brought my 13yr old nephew and his friend for a sail on the Serenity. It was a perfect Michigan summer day, with bright sunshine and a refreshing breeze. The Captain (Andy) and crew were great, and soon after we cleared the end of the channel, we were under full sail and smiling. My only disappointment with the entire experience was that we had to turn around and head back into port far too soon. If you want a great way to get them to put their smart phones down, and let the wind and the sound of the waves carry your troubles away, this is a great way to do it. Captain Tim and his team are the best! You won't be disappointed! PS - We have a special connection with Sailing Saugatuck. In 2019, when they purchased the Serenity, we were the group that transported it from the East Coast to Michigan.

This sailing trip was the highlight of our 3 night visit to the area! Gale force winds had been recorded in the area earlier in the day, and before we embarked, captain Tim offered us a full refund if we wanted to cancel because he could not ensure that we could safely go out on the lake sails up due to winds and waves. Everyone chose to take a chance on the trip and we were not disappointed. The trip on the river was calm and picturesque, but wow things got very exciting when we got on the lake and they did put up the sails! It was very fun, and very exciting! The crew was very professional yet very engaging with the passengers. Really fun and very worth the price. Certainly the highlight of our trip and made memories that will last a lifetime.
We loved Sailing Saugatuck. We booked for a private sail and it was wonderful. The views, the boat, and especially the crew made it all perfect. They even got our tween to help with the ropes. Highly recommend! Also on a side note I was very pleased with their Covid precautions. Lots of hand sanitizer and the crew wore their masks the whole time.
What a great way to spend an evening! From the greeting at the dock throughout the entire experience the people were helpful, friendly and informative. Completely enjoyed our time on the boat. Due to an incoming storm we had to shorten our trip, but they refunded part of the fee (without being asked, very gracious!). So glad we were able to at least do part of the trip, it was beautiful and relaxing, and felt completely safe in the context of COVID. Strongly recommend it! It's an evening I will remember for a very long time.
We had a thoroughly enjoyable sail on a great afternoon with pretty ideal wind conditions. The captain and crew were awesome and made it a fun and memorable outing... especially for those of us who don't get to sail on the big lake that often. Highly recommended.
My daughter and I decided to do something fun for my 45th birthday so I googled the top 10 things to do in the area and that is how I found the Serenity. I chose it because I loved her name. How could you go wrong with a name like that!!! Our first voyage on a sailboat and it did not disappoint. The staff was amazingly friendly and welcoming. We not only saw a gorgeous sunset but also a lovely rainbow. It was the perfect end to the perfect day!!!
Great sailing adventure! We had a spectacular adventure with the Captain and crew! The winds and waves were high, but we always felt like the Captain had everything under control. We took a cooler of bottled water and some small bottles of wine and the crew offered light snacks. We will certainly do this again when we return to Saugatuck!
Our family of 5 had a great time on the sailboat for an afternoon sail. I felt super safe with the social distancing (they had already split up the groups into their own areas) when we were on the boat. Packed a bottle of wine and enjoyed a beautiful afternoon on the water. It was fun to help sail and the staff were all super friendly.
