I required an amendment to my birth certificate and they did help me to get that done. I was able to do it over mail and email fortunately. At the time, there was one person in charge of making these amendments...For the whole state. This is why we need sales taxes, people. It took a long time (should have taken 3 to 7 days), over a month.

I called the archives to see if they had some information on rules from the 1970s because the program I'm interested in doesn't exist anymore. While I was really hoping someone would be able to help, I somehow got connected with a slow and rude employee. After trying to explain to him several times what I needed, he just kept repeating that I needed to go talk to someone in the department or program that I wasn't interested in. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? If I'm asking for something that existed over thirty-something odd years ago do you really think any public bureaucracy keeps that?! It would have been sent to the state archives. This guy shouldn't be working in the archives. He should be asking someone if they want fries with their meal. Such an extremely unpleasant experience.
