After 10 plus years at the Kroc it was with sadden heart that I cancelled my membership. I joined this community center because of it's mission statement and how it was designed to help at risk kids in the community. It's seems that it has changed it mission statement. What I mean is some of these kids for whatever reason spend their afternoons and evening at the gym.I see them eating there and playing basketball. I also get to interact with them and of course they share some of the struggles they have at home or in school. But now that the gym is being monopolize by other organization. These kids are not allowed to use to the gym and some of the parents and kids have cancelled their memberships. also if you plan on using the hot tub. You might want to call ahead to make sure it's open. I found out the hard way that it was being used as a daycare and all paying members were not allowed to use it. I am really going to miss the gym. Hopefully the culture will change and revert back to a community center versus a for profit center. The equipment is also not kept up. Some of the hoop rims are bent and it can go months before they replace the nets. Just my two cents since they are other members currently there that feel the same way and according to them they have complained, but management says if its not in writing, it's not a complaint. My two cents.

the place itself is beautiful! however they charge for kids as young as 5 months, and the lifeguards are punky, just inattentive rude and inexperienced making the experience poor

I had a busy day and stopped by the Kroc Center to get some info. I grabbed a salad to go at the cafe. I got an unexpected treat. I got the salad home and I noticed that the chicken was really good. It had a rosemary marinade and it was moist. Generally you get a grilled drier version of chicken on a salad. BTW the tomatoes and lettuce were Olive Garden fresh. There is something about really fresh salad that makes it yummy. The shredded cheese (which can turn into toothpicks when it dries out on some salads) was still fresh in this salad. The portion was a two meal size. I have it for lunch and dinner. Restaurant quality salad for less than 6. I went back for the salad today and got a fresh sandwich which again had that yummy fresh salad on the side. Simple fresh food... Yum!

I am utterly heartbroken at the fact I attempted to call the only phone number provided to get my son registered for summer camps and voiced my concern via email about the camps possibility for filling up. I was then told someone was tracking these camps and would let me know if they filled up before I could register my son. I left a total of 6 voicemails with no one calling me back. I finally called and called and someone picked up and told me one of the camps were full. The main one my son was so thrilled to attend. I told them it was a mistake and that the person I was emailing with, Ben, assured me if they were full he would get my son into these camps. Evidently, miscommunication as now my son is on the wait list for this specific camp and I did everything I could-email all parties I had emails for, called the ONLY phone number I had, and still my son is not able to participate in his “dream” camp. Heartbreaking when as a mother I stepped into bathrooms at work to call to register and called to figure all of this out with no answer until today. The lady who had called me to let me know of the completed scholarship told me to call Kroc with any questions at the 503-566 number and then I was told none of my voicemails were found. I literally exhausted all of my resources just for my son to be heartbroken as I am.

Family pool, slide, rock wall. Kids like it, not too expensive.
