I was at Eva Carlston in 2013 and it pains me to this day that this place is still in business but I am relieved to see all the recent reviews about how abusive this place is. I have nightmares about my time here. I posted a review to their Facebook page and it was visible for maybe a week or so and then Eva Carlson disabled reviewers on Facebook. To anyone that's seeing this that has survived this place, you are so beautifully strong. To Kristi, You're a coward XOXO Laura
this place is HORRIBLE. This is anything but a help center. The only thing this did to my daughter gave her trauma and suicidal tendencies. Do not EVER send your child here. Trust me. There are better choices.
I was at Eva a long time ago and I just finished college. I was really angry when I went there and to be honest I was angry for a long time after because I still didn't want to admit I had a problem. But now that I've had some time in the real world I've started to understand how much I really benefitted from my time there. Really simple things like learning how to talk with others when I'm nervous and not to freak out when something goes wrong. I've thanked my parents for getting me help because I know it was really hard for them.
Eva Carlston helped our daughter and our family immensely. We chose Eva because of all the programs we looked at, I got the sense (which proved to be correct) that our daughter would not fall through the cracks there. She really knows how to be "under the radar" so that was a big concern of mine... that she would slide under the radar and just tell the therapists what she thought they wanted to hear. That did not happen at Eva. I cannot say enough how the talented, committed staff of Kristi, the therapists, the family teachers, the academic teachers--everyone there--gives so much to the girls every day. Our daughter went to wilderness and then to Eva. She did not want to go at all of course. She fully admits now that it helped her so much. Plus, she made some very solid friendships and was able to graduate high school on time. We see the changes in her daily life and are so thankful for Eva. I cannot imagine what her life might have been if she had not gone there.
Quality program and great women to be an example for my daughter. Thank you!
Abusive facility. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, do not send your children here! It will not help them and will make things WORSE.
