Beautiful location and atmosphere. Staff is professional, friendly, and helpful. The sushi is at a high price point, but is worth it in terms of craftsmanship and quality. Be prepared to spend 90-120 for a couple, after drinks and tip. One of the very best sushi restaurants in the downtown area. I highly recommend it to anyone that is not deterred by the price point.

I am an avid sushi lover, and this place is amazing. The rolls were wonderful, and for a sushi place not expensively priced. The tempura vegetables were very good. The food is artfully crafted, which makes it a shame to eat, but is so good it's hard to resist. Our server was a little scarce which forced us to pace ourselves a little, but other than that this place is amazing.
My new favorite restaurant!! Hands down the best food I've had in salt lake... I have dreams about the pork belly and Brussel sprouts!! Service is incredible, huge step up from the naked fish! A completely new look, do yourself a favor and Go in there now!
If you're looking for food with purpose and passion, Ikigai is for you. I have been impressed by the The Chef and his wife - The Pastry Chef who offer you the best delicious & creative food combinations. Lovely ambiance, attentiveness & friendliness of staff !
Very neat and clean. The hostess was friendly and seated me at the sushi bar. David was really knowledgeable about sushi and was a great person to talk to as I was travelling on business. I had a few of his recommendations and really enjoyed all of them. The live prawn was awesome as well as the selection of wild nigiri I ate. This place is a slam dunk, and I will be visiting again.
The sushi was top notch. The chef was personable and made us things off the menu. Waitress was attentive but not overbearing. Have been many times and will keep going. Definitely worth a try.
