this place wasn't very close to our house but they had a terrific special going on so I went to this Standard Optical to get an eye exam and glasses. The eye doctor was very thorough and did a great job. He also explained things I wasn't familiar with. I also got a pair of glasses here at an excellent price (50) for frames and lenses. Total spent was just under 60 since the eye exam was 10. It was totally worth it tho and I really like the glasses that I was able to get on a tight budget. I did get this during a promotion where frames were 50% off and eye exams were 10 bucks. either way....excellent service and assistance in every aspect of the visit. the women(one was named Priscilla, she was the best!) at the front counter were also very nice and helpful both at my visit and when I went back to pick up my new glasses. I will definitely go back when my eye prescription expires in a couple years. Great optical center!!!!

Aside from not receiving a card that contained my insurance information my experience has been exclusively positive with opticare. They have had minimal wait times and have been able to help any time I needed information (such as the aforementioned missing card). Prompt enough claims handling and clear terms of coverage what more could you ask for.

The customer service over the phone leaves allot to be desired, and in my experience, if I try to send an email.... forget about it, it goes unanswered leaving me no choice but to call.

I signed up for Opticare through my employer, and then never received an insurance card. 10 months later after visiting the eye doctor, I discover I don't have my insurance card on me, so my employer contacted them to see what happened. Apparently they sent it to the wrong address, and it was returned, and they were way too lazy to contact my employer and find the right address for me. Super lazy insurance!
