We moved here from California for my daughters Junior and Senior year specifically so she could attend SPA. From the first phone call when I was checking out the the school to now (part way through her senior year) I have been so grateful for how this school is run and the experience my daughter is having. She has been educated and supported in a phenomenal way. The pandemic has made things challenging but the staff at the school has been incredible with how they made the transitions smooth. The principal and counselor at the school even made a home visit (on the walkway to my home, socially distanced and masked) to see my daughter face to face just to make sure that connection to the school and the staff was clear and that they are there for her. I don’t know any other school that would do that. Her experiences in her classes at SPA has grown her talents beautifully and increased her confidence in doing what she loves. Her teachers have pushed her to grow and encouraged her to reach higher. I have also been really happy with the inclusiveness of the staff and students. Their emphasis on mental health and connections helped my daughter feel safe being true to herself. I wish I had known about this school sooner so she could have attended all 4 years!

I continue to be more and more angry, this is just a knock off innovations.

Great school for performers and REALLY Great teachers! Make sure to be as helpful as possible to your student or make sure to introduce your student to the Principal Lucas Charon, Because the councilor Willow Duncan and registrar Lexi Hall are hardly around to do anything for your student. Hard for my Daughter to even come in contact with them and if contact is made it is with a snarky and Condescending attitude from the registrar lexi. I highly recommend for them to be replaced.

I absolutely loved my time here at SPA, especially having just moved across the country. However, I fully agree that both Willow and Lexi need to be replaced. Neither take mental health or student needs seriously. In spite of me asking multiple times if I was on track to graduate, I was told one month before graduation that I had two classes I needed to complete to graduate (classes that were not mandatory in my home state). Luckily I managed to complete them and walk, but it was extremely stressful and neither were very helpful. On top of that, while once coming in with suicidal thoughts, they both ignored me in favour of discussing their Suicide Prevention week- very ironic.

My daughter shadowed here and I was impressed. The school was great, the teachers were highly qualified, the admin staff was smart and supportive and the students all seemed friendly and welcoming. We're going to enroll, so we'll see how that goes. But for now... 5 stars, SPA! We're looking forward to getting better acquainted

We have loved our experience with SLSPA! My daughter loved every minute of her freshman year, even though it was cut short due to unseen circumstances. Her teachers went above and beyond to help her!

I have only have good experience with this school I am on my 2nd year going on third next year. The musical theatre program and acting program are very fun and the teachers and super nice to us. We also have a online learning program. We have 2 shadow days were people can come get a feel for the school it is a great opportunity and if you want to do performing arts than I suggest you should go here. The classes are small so the teachers can work better with the students.

Deeply stressful no matter where you turn. Drama will find you no matter how you try.
