Booked a last minute kayak trip and were lucky enough to get 2 tandems. The owner was very nice. The kayaks were cleaned by the staff after return to ensure proper sanitation. Staff wore masks. We also witnessed the staff cleaning the bikes upon return but we did not personally rent bikes. The kayaks were in good condition, no broken seats which we have experienced at other kayak outfitters. Clean bathrooms across the street was a bonus.. The shuttle vehicles were the cleanest of any we have been in so far. Staff reviewed the river exit location after our trip prior to getting out of transport van. The river ride took about 2.5 hours based on current cobditions. Great bar across the street to get a bite to eat afterward.

Make sure to book a reservation! Simply a recommendation, not a requirement. Some of the staff are wonderful, others - not so much. I kayaked for the first time this summer and didn't know much about what to expect especially about the different types of kayakes. Other people within separate groups were also confused. This was very apparent. The staff who rode us out were not helpful. At all. The man who drove us all out speeds uncessarily on small, windy roads which is a little uncomfortable but.... Once out on the water, everything was great. Take your time to enjoy the beautiful outdoors. Soak up the sun and live in the moment. If you go in the late afternoon, you have about 3hr to get back to shop. I recommend going out during the morning.
1st rate place friendly staff and a great river to paddle for the day. Well worth the trip. Very walkable down town. I with the brew pub was open when we finished canoeing. It looked loke a nice place to get a cold one
The Conemaugh River sojourn is great for those who love to row in a peaceful setting. This company makes the trip easy.
Great time! Top-notch customer service. This was our first time with SKCO and I was very impressed with their friendly service, organization, and quality of the equipment. We had a great time and will definitely be back!
