Great and personalized service. Great merchandize. Sam Ash is "old school" in that it delivers on the best in every way possible. I have dealt with them over the years both as a college professor and for myself--it is amazing the quality and range of help with all things musical that they can do WELL, that they consistently deliver. Go! Mark who worked with me yesterday could not have done a better job!

Purchased an Ernie Ball Stingray Old Smoothie from Sam Ash. They damaged it during setup, sent it anyways, and the return process wasn't pleasant (terrible customer service). I'm pretty active in the bass community, and to my surprise (not) they sold the same damaged bass to someone else without mentioning the damage... Never giving these folks my business again. If you want quality instruments and service, go to CME or anywhere but here.

I went into the store with the intention of buying a mixer as a gift for someone, which I had already known which one I was going to purchase. However I also had questions about all-in-one production workstations. After waiting for 20 minutes to talk to someone I just ended up leaving. It's rough coming in here because unless youre flailing your hands around screaming you're gonna spend money, it doesn't feel like anyone really talks to you. 3 stars because the store is great, it's nice to be able to look and touch. However without any value added I'm just going to buy what I want online. I won't have to deal with the hassel of taking it home and I won't get any service regardless. Just my two cents.

I searched around for the PRS Silver Sky guitar, and could only find a variety of colors at the Sam Ash store on 33rd. Street. When I arrived, I saw a familiar face in guitars. Joe had worked at the store in White Plains for many years and had helped me in the past. He helped answer questions about the guitar. Joe has a wealth of knowledge about everything related to guitars. He answers every question, and is never pushy or trying to sell a guitar. I like his approach and felt confident buying the new guitar. I added the guitar to my collection, and already love playing it. Thanks Joe and Sam Ash.!

The selection here is fantastic. They have more in stock to see than other local Sam Ash locations I've been to, but it is the NYC site and I usually only have New Jersey and Pennsylvania to choose from. Having travel versions of instruments like ukelele and guitar was really great to see in person that I've never seen before, but also their percussion room. The selection just seems endless and if I didn't have a full 8 hours to walk around before a show, adding to my instrumental collection would be way too easy here. Staff was very helpful, and there's even a ramp for the couple of steps they had, which I really appreciate so everyone can maintain their musicianship needs.

Customer service was great. My girlfriend and I went into the store looking for pianos stands and a seat for her. The salesperson in the store was very pleasant extremely knowledgeable and very kind. He told me the pros and cons of each 88 keyboard stand in the place. And the guy at the door even let me in at the last minute to purchase what I had to buy. I would definitely come back to the store even though I'm not a musician... Lol I would just go for the customer service. The sales people have a classic way of selling very personable and kind... nowadays in stores you don't get great customer service like this everything is fast.. buy and get out... Some stores you can go into the store and the sales people won't even give you a second look.

Loved the experience, I was greeted upon entering with a generous smile and welcome. I was assisted by a young man name « Dana » and he helped me purchase everything I needed and even gave a demo lesson on how to tune my acoustic guitar using a tuner. His sense of humor was priceless. Thank you Sam Ash!!
