An absolute incredible time. The teachers were extremely knowledgeable, talented, and attentive. Worth every penny and more. If you have any interest in blacksmithing, this is the place to go!

I normally do not write reviews so hear goes. First off I am a former Combat Marine (0311) and former Texas Peace officer. Only reason I mention it is because I want to make it clear that I understand the value of a good knife and the quality that it can bring to a set up. With that said, I am new to the forge scene and was recently gifted a 2-Day class at Cooper's Forge for knife making. It was hands down one of the best experiences I've had with a small business in both skill and knowledge. From the start Charles (Owner) and his crew were warm and welcoming with the entire process. From start to finish they were knowledgeable and available every step of the way. Its important to note that they have even more basic and advanced courses available and that the personnel that work there ARE NOT there to baby you unless asked. They will give there experience and help to all that need and make individualized effort to support you through the entire process. Within the first hour of being there you can easily see that even the apprentices are held to a high standard and support all functions of the forge. Though the price may seem steep, it was well worth the time and experience. I will definitely be staying in touch with the gentlemen that work there as I continue my search for knowledge on the art of knife making. P.S. This isn't the cleanest forge but IT SHOULDNT be if theres a constant work atmosphere. Never once did I feel I was in danger or that my safety was in any way compromised.

I took basic blacksmithing just learning the basics and I learn the basics just by knowing what I should do but honestly the person that was supposed to show us what to do was gone most of the time he just showed us one time what to do and the people that was with him to help one of them was drunk some of them was high because I did see marijuana in their toolbox I really think it was very unprofessional and we were half the time blinded from welding light because it was in front of why we were trying to blablacksmi. It was not worth the price of 400 you're better off taking it in a college place where's Morse especially
