It's definitely fun and a must-do experience at least once. But your enjoyment of it greatly depends on your guide. I heard much more fun and interesting facts from passing boats than I heard on my paid ride... Since you can't really pick you guide, I guess it's just hit or miss if you get a good one! They're doing reasonably well during Covid, spacing people out and wearing masks but still, some of the boats were packed pretty tight.

Loved this tour! Unfortunately it was soooo unseasonably cold in San Antonio the day we went, but worth bundling up for. Especially loved that the city left the Christmas lights up through Valentine's day, so it made the tour extra special. And our tour guide was very knowledgeable and pointed out and explained points of interest along the river.

Awesome experience! Very educational and informative. Thanks to our amazing tour guide Roberto, I was taught things I never knew about our great city of San Antonio. He genuinely made the boat ride interesting and fun not just for my sisters and I But also my 7 year old niece. We all had a great time and enjoyed all the beautiful views. We also had the luxury of still seeing all the Christmas lights draping from the trees. It truly was a wonderful experience, well worth the price. I recommend this at least once in your lifetime if you reside here in San Antonio.

Not our first rodeo with Go Rio SA River Cruises, each tour you take you seem to learn something new! On 2/21 we had Daniel as our tour guide and he did a really good job! Go Rio is doing their best to operate during Covid (as are all facilities on the Riverwalk). Face masks are required and social distancing is strongly encouraged on the boats.

The River Walk is magical during December with the trees lite up along the walk. Taking the river cruise provides a better view of the sights and sounds of the restaurants and other visitors. The RIO is very organized and followed the CDC recommendations by reducing the number of passengers and everyone wore a mask and even with the changes it was still an enjoyable ride.
