They’ve been reporting to the credit bureau an account over 900, from my doctors office, the actual amount owed was only 21, yet they “validated the amount” when I called the doctors office to complain, they let me know my acct was never even sent to collections. Now it’s impacting my credit to buy a house. If this is not fixed by the end of the month I’ll be looking into legal assistance.

SARMA helped me find out my credit standings almost a decade ago & I can't wait for them to help me again. Soooo grateful that this entity exists so that I do not have to pay any type of \credit repair\ agency. They give you the ability to \see\ everything so that you can contact credit reporting agencies and correct disputes absolutely on your own.

Opened a dispute with the credit bureaus over this collection agency. #1 know your rights. The Statute of Limitations in Texas is Four Years from the date of default. That is not 4 years from the date Sarma buys your account debt. The Texas Debt Collection Act also penalizes companies like Sarma that continue to attempt collection by reporting information to the Credit Bureaus after the 4 year period of default has passed. After contacting the Credit Bureaus through official dispute and explaining this debt was generated in Texas, State law governs that Sarma be removed from the credit report after the statute of limitations deems Sarma to be an invalid collector. Sarma Collections entered no contest to the dispute, likely avoiding a damages claim. This is because you cannot report on a debt you are not lawfully able to collect and thus they were removed across all three Credit Bureaus from my report. My advice to Sarma: You have 4 years from the moment the person defaults with their original creditor - not you. Get better lawyers.

This place says that you pay off the balance and they will remove it from the credit report. Be advised that they don't.
