What is wrong with this place? In a word - nothing! Great Orthodox Church in San Antonio led by an affable priest who really cares about both his congregation and any folks like me who roll in off the street. Went to Saturday vespers this past weekend and was delighted. People will say \hey!\ and ask you what is up and what they can do for you. Superb spirit here - and a great place to check out if you are interested in what Orthodoxy is all about. Highly recommended! Also - vespers was 100% in English! Definitely will be back next time I am in SA...just went a 2nd time and took my wife - what a GREAT - bunch of folks! If you have any interest in Orthodoxy, here is where you need to go to check out the real deal! Priest super approachable and glad to help...

Joachim and Anna Orthodox Church is a church of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia. as such, you will find kind, loving people trying to overcome this world and to live lives in faithfully service to Jesus Christ as part of the one, catholic and Apostolic Church in communion with the other Orthodox churches of San Antonio. Here you will truly find the presence of the risen God. Do not be put off by the \Russian\ name as the services are in English. If you Are interested in exploring the ancient faith once given to the Apostles, this is a great place to experience it. As we Orthodox say, \taste and see.
