My experience with Sunset funeral home was very positive. Out funeral director Denise was patient and let us take our time with us in helping us choose what we wanted included in my husband’s funeral. She also got together with us in regards to choosing pictures that were going to be shown during the service. My husband’s funeral went flawlessly. We were very satisfied with my husband’s funeral.

This is one of the best kept cemeteries in the San Antonio area. Thank you for keeping our loved ones area green and clean. It’s always nice and peaceful when we come and visit.
During this tough time when my Dad passed, Sunset made it as simple as possible while still maintaining all proper protocols due to COVID. Thanks to everyone who helped celebrate my Dad and his life!
The most frustrating thing was the Hurst arrived to the church late. The were suppose to be at the church by 10:30 but did arrive till 11am when the rosary was suppose to start. We were promised a guest book which never arrived but it wouldn't have mattered anyway because the guests were already seated when the Hurst arrived. The obituary had obvious typos that got posted & after several calls that I had to make it got corrected. The final thing was I was never asked if I wanted my father shaved for the viewing,I thought that automatically it would be done. My father would have wanted that. I hope no other family goes through this.
The funeral home was beautiful and the staff was so friendly! Lisa was amazing in helping me out with the right option for my husband. The choices they had for cremation were wonderful. Would highly recommend them. Everything was done with ease and comfort. They understand it is a hard thing to have to do, and they try to make it as less stressful as possible.
