Five years ago the tamales were great at Tellez. The must have changed the ingredients or they are using cheap products to make the tamales. The tamales taste bitter and masa is dry on edges ...probably old. Definitely will not throw my hard earned money here on a business that got too big and lost their way. Sorry, but people should know Tellez Tamales is no longer making the tamales of yesteryear.

First time at Téllez Tamales. Barbacoa is delicious, and pork tamales are excellent. Just as good as the best you would find in Monterrey Mexico.
Tellez never disappoints. We picked up our Tamales for Christmas. The menudo, breakfast tacos and salsa was delicious this morning. A sample bite of the tamales were awesome as always. Bandera location has a great set up for social distancing and everyone was so friendly. Get there early, though! They ran out of bean & jalapeño tamales within one hour of opening this morning and this coming week (Christmas week), they are only selling tamales until they are sold out. They anticipate selling out early each day. These are the best tamales you will find in SA so go take your place in line. It is totally worth it!
Very delicious tamales. Color.. taste... N plenty of meat.. just the right amount of spices. Would recommend this place to anyone for great tamales!!!
On the weekend before Christmas: 5:50 am arrival, line 45 people deep, 40 mins total time spent. Staff was friendly and efficiently quick and tamales barbacoa tasty as yoush!
