Without question the best tamales in the COUNTRY. I have lived in various locations across the country and have never found tamales that come close to being as good. Every time I go to San Antonio i buy several dozen and carry them on my flight or car trip. I would love it if they would ship outside of San Antonio. There are a multitude of tamale lovers who would not hesitate to make regular orders. Eating there is also very nice. All their dishes are original recipes and the fresh flour tortillas are terrific. The place is always neat, clean and organized. The service is unbeatable. The entire staff from the owners to the servers and cashiers are super polite and helpful. Total quality service with a great Tex Mex smiles. I’m hungry for the tamales especially over the holidays or any given Sunday! Thank you to the Téllez Family for adding so much to the uniquely Mexican flavor that only San Antonio can provide.

The pork tamales and borracho beans were amazing. Great find just outside of downtown! True homemade mexican food.

My first time coming here, but its 6:30 and the line is out the door so I hope the tamales are worth the hype. My issue is with the rude service. The lady kept coming out yelling at people that they were already sold out of chicken, to stop asking! And to leave your comadre or whoever came with you in the car. Among other things. I have no problem with her asking people to social distance, but she also could've been polite about it. After all, we are paying customers!! I doubt I'll be back, not that they seem to care to lose a customer.

The tamales didn't disappoint. They hit the spot. On the smaller side but great flavor, does taste home made . Also ordered a menudo and it was good, a little on the over season (a little too much salt) but still good. Last had a taco de barbacoa (& a Big Red), was disappointed. It was an okay taco not the best, no seasoning , tasted a reheated not fresh.
