Visiting San Clemente for the first time and happened upon Schmid’s Chocolate Shop per chance. Met the chocolatier herself, chatted — extremely modest, polite, helpful; purchased several of her own creations, one of which, an orange creme that was out-of-this world yummy! Found lots of delicious nicely packaged gifts. If your are in the area, a must-visit.

The loveliest little chocolate shop on Del Mar! Their chocolate covered strawberries are a must for any special occasion. I went in for some salted caramel chocolates and couldn't resist getting an entire box of goodies. Every piece was melt in your mouth delicious and the ladies in the shop are very friendly and knowledgable.

I’ve been coming here every year for 4 years. It’s become a tradition for me on Valentine’s Day. Kim the owner is amazing she will go out of her way to accommodate you the best she can and the chocolate is always 11/10. I can’t say enough good things about Schmidt’s. I recommend everyone I can.
