I was down visiting from San Francisco, and brought along my opal bracelet that has been missing a stone for a year or so. Just for the heck of it I \googled\ opal shop, and lo and behold, Al's Opals popped up. So out I went, in the hopes I could get the opal replaced. I read the reviews in Yelp, so knew what to expect. I was \clicked\ in at the front door by a nice lady, held up my bracelet and pointed to the missing stone. No language barrier...she lead me to the back of the shop where \Al\ was. He looked at my bracelet and said he could get it done by Monday or Tuesday. Darn, as I told him I was leaving to go back home on Sunday. He said go ahead and leave it with him, and he can try to get it done by tomorrow. I thanked him, and left my contact number. 30 MINUTES later he calls me back. The bracelet is ready. What the heck. I hurried back to pick it up. I couldn't even tell which stone he replaced. I'm one very happy customer. GREAT JOB AL....YOU'RE THE BEST!!! Thank you.

Great local hidden spot. He had really cool petrified wood specimens. Al and his assistant were very kind and welcoming. He was a pleasure to chat with. Al is a Navy World War II veteran so he has so many great stories and memories.
