Some of the best coffee I've ever had! The specialty drink names make the entire experience fun and inciting. Sit down and read some comics with a great cup of coffee and I guarantee you will want to come back. The owner is always up to talking about the latest comics, tv or movie and I always find the conversation to be as good as the coffee.

This cafe is off the beaten path, being inside Southern California Comics,which is itself in a large business park off Clairemont Mesa Blvd. The owner is a really nice guy who's personable, positive, and an engaging conversationalist. The comic store itself is really cool too, with tons of 1 comics, interesting figurines, and other knick-knacks. The cafe offers a huge variety of stylized drinks (see photo of menu attached to this review). They also serve a number of teas and pastries, such as eclairs, tarts, and tiramisu, that are made at Balboa Bakery. My favorite drinks are the Loyal Sidekick (hazelnut latte), Billionare Playboy (mocha latte w/ vanilla and hazelnut), Space Princess (pink lemonade w/ mango), and peppermint tea. This is a nice little hangout for all comic fans and caffeine lovers. If you frequent Societe Brewing, stop by after your beer!
