I took some courses taught by Carl Schwab and they were so much better than any I've every taken before. He made it lively, interesting and easy to understand. I can't find any courses taught by him anymore. I would have given EMS university 5 stars because they HAD a really good instructor, but now he doesn't seem to be there anymore, and they can't/wont tell me if he will teach again.

Course was easy to enroll in. Instructor was knowledgeable and distrubutive learning was great. I would recomend this course to anyone seeking an online recert.

I registered for a AHA/BLS CPR course through EMS University. My class got canceled due to low registration and decided to try another company. Asked for a refund and was told I would get one in 30 days. I never got a refund and so I decided to call back. They mentioned that I can’t get a refund because of the type of class I signed up for. This company lacks in communication and quality. I advise to not sign up here for CPR classes.

I can say I enjoyed my time at EMS University. I was a student in the accelerated EMT course. I was placed with 3 other students, and we were able to bond very well over the time of the course. The instructors that we had were great, and I can say that I was able to learn a lot from their personal experiences. Only downside was the constant switching of instructors. It wasn't uncommon to have a different teacher every class. The moments that we had the same teacher teach for a few session consecutively was extremely helpful. We did learn according to NREMT standards, which was nice, but it would have been nice at the end of the course to learn more about the standing orders for the area that we'll be working in. Also, we didn't go over all of the skills, only those essential for testing. When I did my clinical, I felt slightly unprepared, as there were some things I didn't know how to do. Overall, I had a great experience, and would recommend for the future. Hoping that they might open up a paramedic program in the Tucson area. Thank you for everything EMS University!
