Way better than discount hobby, they have changed over the years. They have a new and friendlier staff. Don't let the bad reviews fool you. This hobby shop did a 180 and is better than ever its very clean, Discount is a little trashy, but I admit the guys there are knowledgeable but lack friendliness and are not honest about there products, they try to get you to buy stuff that isn't what you need. I was surprised when I walked in to hobby people, I felt like I just walked into a episode of the twilight zone. First thing I saw was a smile and What can I do for you, it feels like a new store Read the reviews, they are all a year old, Hobby shops can change !!!!

Called in to look for a part. Hobby People kept me on the line for 12 minutes. Called back and got a new person, who hung up on me. Called back and asked to talked to the manager/owner. When I started to tell him what happened, he cursed at me and hung up. (manager/owner had a English or Austria accent). WORST CUSTOMER service ever. I have never been treated so poorly in my life and customer service starts from the top. Bad owner, Bad workers. Will NEVER EVER do business with this place again. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, they never have anything in stock! ETA for products are 3-weeks out. Just go with Amazon with an estimated 1-week delivery. SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE AND STRESS.
Well, the store is clean, and is kept stocked well. You'll most likely find what you need, IF you know what you're looking for. The staff, for the most part are just there to sweep up occasionally, and check everyone out. Very little knowledge, and they're not going to approach you as an effect of that. As with everyone else, good STORE, not so helpful employees.
New Hobbyist beware. Limited personnel with knowledge in RC products. I do not believe the place is friendly towards or welcomes NEW hobbyist. I wish they warned me of some important things that ended costing me more, which meant that I had to purchase more products from the store. Which reminds me, more items available in stock in the store would be nice. For someone just starting in a hobby they have made it moderately unattractive.
This place is the worst nobody helps you out, says anything to you, other than stare you down like your going to rob them. And when I asked a question it seemed like I was making him go out of his way to answer it. They are not inviting to new costumers but if it's someone they know they set full attention to them and don't even bother ringing me up after standing in front of the register for 5 min.. I wasn't going to ask him to ring me up I just left the stuff on the counter and walked out. Don't come here this is the second time ive came to this location and I had had a similar experience the first time but decided to give them one more chance and regret it!!! After reading these reviews I agree with all the Horrible ones.. Don't support this business they don't care about customers
Grumpy People: new name for this store. If you're new to hobbies, stay away from this store. I'm giving 3 stars because I was eventually helped by a decent employee. Really should be two stars.
Staff didn't approached me after 15 minutes of walking around after approaching one of the employees and asking him questions it was blatantly obvious that they were very unknowledgeable the few things they did have stocked that i was looking for were overpriced. For any modle builders steer clear of your looking for parts for rc cars they have a decent selection price varies from piece to peace but again the employees aren't knowledgeable and will not approach you
I am new to the RC world these guys are the best very friendly, and knowledgeable. They help me every time I go in there.
