I had made reservations a couple days prior to going online. As we walk up we see that the entrance is is roped off to two sections on top it says “enter” and “exit” there are people standing around waiting on both sides. So we stand on the side that says enter, did not know that was the stand by side. The other side is for people to wait who have reservations. (We didn’t find this out till after we were waiting in line and just watching other people go in). It was difficult to get someone to even answer the question, “Where do we stand if we have a reservation?” There was a woman of color waiting on the reservation side thinking she was suppose to wait there to be seated as a walk up. She had been waiting longer than us, they told her she had to be in the other line by then the walk up line had grown and she had to go all the way to the back. We told her not to wait in the back and she could go ahead of us. She was really thankful. Point being, all the confusion could be avoided if there was a clear sign that says walk up and reservations. The food was good, portions are a good size as well. I got a margarita and it was more ice than anything. The service inside was good. I get it you get the Baja experience without having to cross the border, I just personally think there are better sea food places in San Diego.

We made reservations online, which seems to be the recommended option on their website. Upon arriving, there was 2 signs outside, \Enter\ and \exit\ separated by a rope. Apparently, the walk in line was the enter section, and the reservation waiting section was the exit. Without any signage, it turned out a lot of people were waiting in the wrong place, while others were seated. Proper signage would really help the customer experience. The menu is accessed by taking a picture of a QR code, which my phone wouldn't recognize due to the lighting. Food was good, medium rare steak turned out medium well though. The service was great and the staff were all friendly. Online, you're given an option for restaurant or outdoor seating, but they are one and the same. Outdoor, tented, and spaced out quite well. We enjoyed dinner, but getting in seemed like much more of a hassle than expected. With so few places being open for dining in, I have to say I'd try somewhere else next time.

Table service in covered patio! Very nice and authentic. Original hacienda building from 1850's! Lots of parking and drinks are great! Fish tacos were my choice with rice and beans. Service was fast and atmosphere was very relaxing!

Great food, great atmosphere, great service. Definitely going back. Sorry about some of the pictures, looked too good. Steak cooked to perfection. Took a quarter gallon of Cilantro Lime Rita to go. Was Awesome.

Let me start out saying that service was GREAT. I was very surprised they were open for dining as most of the restaurants in Old Town are either just doing take out or closed completely. That's actually how we ended up there in the first place. But they have safety precautions in place so I was comfortable with dining there. The 3 stars are due to the food. The prices are high which can be acceptable for seafood but the shrimp in my fajitas were dry and tasteless and the lobster just blah. I liked the chips, not too salty and the sauces they served with the chips were varied and tasty. I guess what bothered me the most was the very mediocre seafood that was so pricey. Also their pitchers of margaritas seem to be a good deal but as it turns out, very light on the booze content. I'd go back again but knowing what I know now, will just stick with individually crafted margaritas, chips and starters and maybe a couple regular fish tacos...i don't eat meat so I can't speak to those menu items.
