I had the most amazing experience doing this sky tour! I'm not sure what I originally expected but this far surpassed everything I thought. We flew out along the coast and I got to learn some fun facts that I never knew about San Diego. When we were far enough out over the water, Earl (the pilot) let me fly the plane to get a better understanding of how everything works. Then he did some maneuvers including some barrel rolls, a loop, and a stall turn. It was absolutely amazing and I had no idea I'd have so much fun on this sky tour. My dad originally purchased this for me as a birthday present. After I went sky diving last year, he thought this would be a little safer. Honestly, I'd say the two experiences are pretty similar as far as thrills though. If sky diving or barrel rolls aren't for you though, don't let that stop you from doing this tour. The pilots and the whole staff are very accommodating. They're there to help and they'll only do tricks and maneuvers if you feel comfortable. I cannot recommend this experience enough.

So often I saw biplanes flying by Mission Beach and the wish to fly with one moved up on my bucket list. Online booking was easy and two days later I find myself in the front seat of a Great Lakes biplane. What a blast it is flying open cockpit on a sunny day, no better way to see San Diego! The pilots are real professionals and will never go further with the flight maneuvers than you wish. You can ask for a totally smooth ride or you can ask for more action. I think this is also enjoyable for people who were never flying in small planes and it was an adventure for me as an experienced hang glider pilot. A lot to do in this town and seriously a biplane ride with San Diego Sky Tours is one of the highlights. No wonder I want to come back for an aerobatic thrill ride!

This was a first-time experience for myself my husband and my two young boys. I was very nervous and our instructor tour guide Eric was awesome he assured me that it would be a safe and enjoyable ride. He was very friendly with both my boys also even let my 14 year old sit up front and drive the plan along with him. He was very knowledgeable very polite and made us feel safe and comfortable. I definitely am going to recommend his tour to family and friends of mine if there ever in the San Diego area. 8/2/20

If you want to experience flying like never before... this is the only place to go! You can catch UNBELIEVABLE sunsets, beautiful cityscape tours or if your feeling a little more adventurous you can even dog fight with real Top Gun veterans. Truly a one of a kind experience WORTH EVERY DIME!!

If you haven't flown in a biplane yet, do it. Better yet, try some aerobatics while you're at it! Thanks to Ace and my most excellent pilot Earl, I had the most fun one can have while remaining in the aircraft for the entire flight. Formation take off with the lovely Marilyn, scenic coastal views of Torrey Pines and the Pacific Ocean, and enough rolls, loops, and dives to make my head spin (in the best way possible). I heart zero G. The professional crew at San Diego Sky Tours took care of me! What a ride, thanks guys!!
