Great hidden gem right in the backyard of UCSD campus and La Jolla for trail running! The entrance is very unimposing and not well marked from the Eastgate street entrance, east to miss. But the trail itself is wide and goes into the valley floor behind the corporate parks, then winds back up to with a pretty significant elevation gain at the end (don't say I didn't warn you). Trail is pretty quite, though you can hear distant freeway sounds. Since it's running in the valley, good shade coverage during early afternoon.

Great location for trail run training. 1.75 miles of trail with 330 ft elevation gain. Coming back up behind Lilly's building it's a great challenge! I call this the Snake Trail! :)
