Excellent dive bar! Nice strong drinks. Fun crowd, trans, gay, and straight. Good bartenders. If it gets crowded though, expect the Standing Room Only name to be quite literal!!

We couldn't ask for more at SRO. The staff is exceptional. The atmosphere is so open and free. Drinks.. out of this world! Friday night and Sunday night Chicken and Salad. You feel at home. Diverse background. Everyone loves and accepts all walks of life. The Bartenders ALWAYS smile, provide excellent communication, service with personalized care. Rhonda, excellent cooler and friend. This is got to be the best gay bar in all of San Diego. My husband and I met 15 years earlier at this restaurant and have been married now for over 10. The drinks here are very strong and you will be getting a very good value on that . The people here comes from all walks of live and the bar feels like a real community. Sad to hear that this entire block was recently purchased and the SRO will need to find a new home.
