Great food for a classic neighborhood restaurant. Classic New Orleans, every dish I've had is great. Try to come here as often as I can. Highly recommended

Tiny inside but the food is delicious! The hangar steak is spot on and the fries are the best I've had. Ever. Very tasty rotisserie chicken seasoned perfectly! Roasted potatoes and green beans are excellent sides. You'd be foolish not to get dessert here.

It's official: this place makes better gumbo than maw-maw. As a home grown Louisiana boy, the chef gets it. Had oysters, frog legs, a poboy and a bowl of gumbo and couldn't get over how good each and every dish was. Service was better than expected considering how absurdly packed the place was, suboptimal but par for the course in this part of the city. Decor nails the New Orleans feel, but most importantly, the chef nails the "high end" New Orleans taste. Definitely bringing all my friends.

Initial attentiveness tapered dramatically. The gumbo was just okay. It was more soup than gumbo. Staff never checked on us during our meal nor asked if everything was okay when presenting the bill. No refills were offered, no offer for additional drinks (alcoholic/nonalcoholic). Side dish was never delivered yet was on the bill. Food pricing on the high side considering the meager portions. Will not return.

GREAT PLACE!!! Chef Wall knows how to make a gravy the right way - gumbo, etouffe and beignets the trilogy of creole cuisine fired to order and second to none! But where have you gone???

This new restaurant is the Mission is great! If you love Creol food, you will love Bayou. Chef Arthur is from NOLA and it shows in his delicious and authentic Creol menu. I started with the frog legs and they were killer. This place has a good balance between high-end food and casual feel.
