We enjoyed our meal here... Great service and nice selection on the menu for restricted diets, which they were able to accommodate. Good wine selection and really nice decor. Cool bar and bathroom!

Confession - I have never eaten at the restaurant but the bar here is a gem. Rarely crowded, intimate space, friendly staff, and they make some of the best cocktails in the city. Great stop for a pre-dinner drink.
What's there not to love? Ambiance is perfect for an intimate dinner. Nice variety of appetizers ( the bonbons are amazing) and main dishes ( tasty salmon with almond and cherry couscous). I would have had dessert if I wasn't full. Lovely wine and cocktails to make everyone happy. And the wait staff are top notch.
A tightly run ship. I was shocked at how well trained and cohesive the staff was. You just don't find that around here. Decor was chic. Food was perfectly cooked (if not slightly heavily handed seasoning). Highly recommended.
The service was discreet and not overly attentive. The interior decor is a relaxing, low-lit reprieve from busy Claude Lane below. We are definitely coming back to try this place again sometime. It isn't an inexpensive place, but I think the value is definitely there. Highly recommended!
Wow, what a gem. Hidden in a tiny little street that you usually would avoid, this place features covered and heated outdoor seating as well as a bunch of seats by the impressive looking bar on the first floor as well as several tables upstairs. Especially upstairs it is super romantic. Low lights, a huge flower bouquet in the middle of the room which smells great, designer lights everywhere and cozy tables. The food is excellent and well presented. The cocktails and wine selection is great too. Don't expect that you can choose from 20 different dishes, instead they focus on quality and a small selection. There's a lot of sea food that is real fresh. Stuff is friendly and attentive. Great place all the way.
First the atmosphere is beautiful! I had high expectations when walking into Gitane. The appetizer was amazing... everything after that could have been better. The service is super slow. If you ask for a drink... give them 15 minutes. This is not the worst place but not the fine dining I was expecting.
Very interesting and sexy ambiance and it looks more like a bar than restaurant. We came for dinner and heard good things about it. Dishes are very creative and interesting, but I think I had over-expected a little. It's a place I had tried and do not crave to come back.
