Great site but no lighting at night for crooked street in sf
You can't go to San Francisco and no ride the Cable Cars. Since 1873 , they have been running and are the only moving historic landmark. There are 2 lines, Powell-Hyde and Powell-Mason. It is better not to board them at the turnaround but walk a few blocks to catch it. This is the stop to see or walk :Lombard Street
Have seen Lombard Street in numerous movies so made effort to visit it during my time in San Francisco to see what the "buzz" was all about. The actual zig zag of the road cannot be fully seen or appreciated unless a line of vehicles is coming down it due to both it's gradient and the flora and fauna that fill the beds either side of road. Even a climb to the top doesn't show it, however it does give you a great view of the bay and well worth the climb. I think to see it properly either use a drone or leave it to the movies

Nice spot.
Catch the cable car for a lift down the hill after you've gawked at Lombard Street. It's 7 per rider and it's only 1 way so if you want a longer ride try and catch it elsewhere. Worth it if you really want to ride a cable car.
