Randomly walk in this restaurant today and order their lunch special: bitter melon with beef. It’s super delicious! The value is very good! I recommend it:)

I came to Chinatown late around 7:00pm local time. I am supposed most stores are closed. Some restaurants are open with no customers already. Another restaurant are lined up with many people. I really don't don't want a big dinner as I travel alone for business. So I decided to come in New Lun Ting Cafe. I ordered a beef chow fun. It came with a free soup, it tastes really good. Before she also give me a free fried dumpling before serving. Chow fun tasted very good too.

Order the curry vermicelli. Flavorless, no heat with 4 medium shrimp and a whole lot if sprouts. Disappointed.

Great food quickly, large portions and friendly efficient service. They even gave out some free dumplings on the house while I was here. Great stop, will be back!

Average place. Nothing fancy. Noted big portions and not so clean interior. Service is good and menu is not so presentable. Prices are affordable. Nice view if you sit by the window. Beggars eating inside. May not be ok for some people.

Not even joking when I say this place has provided the cheapest decent meal I've eaten since landing in America. They had a 3-dish and a soup meal set for 23 dollars. But we ordered more. Very original Chinese cuisine. Ordered some pork and cabbage dumpling/Woh tip, Mongolian fried fish, beef brisket with foochuk/beancurd sheet (this is the bomb. The beef came apart just as you chew it. Nicely stewed), prawns with scrambled eggs. There is also stir fried beef with kailan. The business is about 100 years old but the current owners (two sisters and their folks) have been running the place for the last 50 years. They're also famous for their pork chops but we haven't got the stomach space for it. perhaps, next time. The sisters who ran the place were exceptionally gracious and made it all the more homely. I would definitely recommend this to whoever who is planning a day tour to Chinatown in San Francisco

I have been going here since I was a little boy, a total of atleast 15 years. The restaurant has not changed since then. The same atmosphere, the same chairs and tables even. Such a lovely place with amazing food, and even better prices. I personally highly recommend the Corned Beef over Rice with Brown Gravy. It is excellent. I would go more often if I did not live so far away. 10/10
