Delicious. It's the kinda place where everything is so good that I'm never afraid to try a new dish. They deserve all the praise they get. Excellent customer service too!!

Old Mandarin is a fantastic Chinese restaurant, with an all-halal menu! Never gone wrong in the nearly two years we've been eating from there.
My very first experience dining in a Halal Chinese Restaurant in SF. Nice and very quick serving. The owners and servers were very caring as well. Overall, the food and the experience was great.
Found this on Google while driving around in San Francisco. It took a while to get to this location as it is in the middle of a residential neighborhood and far from China Town. The food is that we ordered is review below: 1) We ordered the Chicken corn soup as a starter and although the portion was very generous, I did not like the soup in terms of its texture. I am used to a thicker Chicken corn soup base, made from Cornflour but this was like clear liquid soup that was thin like water. I will give it 4 out of 10. 2) Beef filled pancakes... now these were really good and tasted amazing with Sriracha sauce as a condiment. I will give it 8 out of 10. 3) Cumin Chicken Stir Fry - This was quite good and I wouldn't mind ordering it again. The flavor is more Indian/Pakistani than Chinese. I will give it 6.5 out of 10. The service was slow in the beginning and the girls behind the counter were not very welcoming and did not answer our questions, but the young man who was also the owner's son served us and chatted with us for a while and was very helpful. He should be training the rest of the staff on hospitality. Overall, I would love to go there again and try their other items (minus the Chicken corn soup)
Food was really good. Best lamb I’ve had in a long time. Owner says they buy from a place in sacramento that keeps the male and female sheep separate which minimizes the gamey-musty flavor lamb sometimes has. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Dumpling were excellent and dry stir fry dishes with cumin were very distinctly western Chinese.
The staff is courteous and helpful. Also, the food was served hot and had a great flavor. And the waiter who took my order was pleasant and accommodating.
Their lambchops is my favorite.Kids love their chicken corn soup and chow mein.
I think the popularity has gone to their head. We asked them if we can come. They said come by 8:30 and order by 8:45. We reached at 8:33. They were rude, yelling and the worst customer service I have ever experienced in any restaurant. Place was dirty and definitely not worth it.
