16 years ago, I bought a couple of pairs of RetroSpecs glasses frames. Yes, they were insanely expensive. However, factoring in that I’ve been wearing one of the pairs steadily for 16 years (I’ve swapped the lenses multiple times) with the other pair waiting in my desk for the first to wear out... lowest cost per use frames ever. The only problem I’ve ever had was when a football got thrown at my face and cracked off one of the nose pads... which RetroSpecs fixed for no charge (lifetime warranty). In short, in the unlikely event I live long enough to wear out my current RetroSpecs frames, my next pair will be from RetroSpecs. Highly recommend!

The only reason for a company like RetroSpecs to exist is if they have a quality control system with great attention to detail. Not the case with RetroSpecs, they expect you to be the quality control. I purchased a pair of glasses from them through a registered dealer, they sent a frame with a bent temple piece, I sent it back. They then sent a pair of glasses but this time the screw was wrong and the screw falls out when you close and open the frame. I now have to send them back.
