When I was younger, I didn't really understand modern adult. Now as an adult, I have slowly learned to appreciate the beauty, the diversity, the expression and the different styles of modern art. I came to the SFMOMA for a date a few years ago and really enjoyed the museum. Didn't get a chance to come back until recently when SFMOMA reopened in early October with social distancing enforced. SFMOMA offered free timed tickets (and parking - thank you!) on a first come, first serve basis. Came here with my friends, with a 3pm timed ticket - meaning we only had 2 hours to browse the museum. 2 hours is not enough. The museum spans 7 floors with a bunch of different art on every floor. My friends and I tried our best to see as much as we could, but we weren't able to get through it all. Pro tip: come earlier, if possible (e.g. get a timed ticket that is for earlier admission). Some of my favorite exhibits/pieces of art include the pop art exhibit and this architectural model (which I believe was from Tatiana Bilbao) - the architectural model reminded me of a very intricate doll house. So much detail and so delicate. SFMOMA's parking (and parking in SF downtown) is pretty pricey, so if you do come here and decide to drive, be prepared to pay quite a bit for parking. Otherwise, coming on a Sunday might help save you some dough (since parking is free on Sundays).

Agnes martin! Must see! That's I went for. It was beautiful. In a little corner by herself and entire room of her works. Absolutely stunning. It's pretty quiet since it's a bit out of the way.
Amazing staff and visitor’s handling during Covid19. Also, free parking and free visits during until October 18th, 2020 I think. Definitely worth visiting. ...Pictures are worth a thousand words, enjoy
I tried the sister museum in NY and I liked this one more . Put it in your list for SF if you dont have it already
Stunning collections in an endless labyrinth of art. Highly recommending taking the time to engage with this museum full of varying perspectives
