Szechuan or Sichuan in essence. Spicy with some traditional dishes. Food is well presented and flavorful and spicy. If you like even more spicy hot, let the served know your taste. Very dedicated and polite service. Beer bottles, Sapporo, Tsingtao and others. Nice terrace in low traffic or closed to traffic street. Sunny at am, Shaded at pm.

The best dan Dan noodles I’ve had in San Francisco. They have the same taste as I had in Chengdu. The other dishes were great and the chef/owner is from Chengdu. Spicy King is one of the best places to eat Szechuan food in San Francisco.
We patronised this restaurant every other day as it’s one of the restaurants that closes late at 10pm. Authentic Chinese food. Although the name says Spicy King, they can do non-spicy options too. We tried level one spicy and it’s still very spicy for us. Great service each time we went.
They have some crazy spicy hot pot that you will get burn and still in love with it. Update: 12/21 Back again and the food still taste good! Tried more dishes and majority of them are all good.

I literally could eat here every meal of every day of my life. I highly recommend the spicy tofu and fillet of fish sole as well as the explosive numbing chicken. You really can't go wrong with any dish here.
"My neck is sweating" said the Brit. Randomly found this spot. Food great. Pork belly and pickled spicy veggies on point. Will definitely return with the crew.
