This place is so good! The soup has lots of flavor. It may take long but it is so worth it. You can customize your broth, meats, seafood, vegetables. I always get the spicest broth with 3 meats, 3 seafood, spinach, mushrooms. And udon noodles. Try it! (Also recommend for first timers)

Love their MLT and they are the best in the whole city so far! I can order the set combo or pickup my own bowl from long list menu, and they also provide some authentic small dishes, good to try them out. If you are a spicy lover, you should try it out.

This place is a hidden gem! So so delicious. My wife (from Shanghai) says this is maybe better malatang than she gets in China. The broth in the dishes is incredibly well done, it is not from a mix you can tell it is made in house, cooked slow. Tonight we ordered a beef slice malatang dish and we shared it. We also ordered some tea eggs which were perfectly seasoned and easy to peel. I also also ordered the cold and spicy sichuan noodles. Perfectly cooked noodles, chewy and easy to mix with the enclosed spicy black bean sauce. The guys there are super nice. We ordered a few minutes after the closed, as did a few others in line with us and they still served us. This place is reasonably priced for such a tasty dinner and even though it is 25 minutes away from our he we will definitely be back!!! Our new favorite malatang in SF!

Highly recommend dine-in, you can select what you want vs. the pre-selected delivery options. Recommend the chicken broth and fish noodles :)

Found a long piece of black hair in our food!!!! Waited 40 minutes for two appetizers. I checked our number twice with guy at the counter, then when our order was ready, he didn’t even call our number. What topped it off our first and only Tang Bar experience found a piece of black hair our food when we ate it at our office!! I’m so grossed out. I can’t believe it, after our city just opened up for indoor dinning. What a gross experience.

Walked in to stonestown mall decided to give Tang bar a try, bad idea ordered my food, the guy said he'll call out my order, I'm waiting and waiting and this guy is just playing with himself behind the register, 20 mins later I ask if my order is almost ready he rudely points and saids oh sorry it's right here the bag that's been sitting on the counter for 15 minutes, so the soup was cold can't really give feedback on the soup besides it was cold and stale by the time I got it so pretty disgusting, service was terrible place was empty, no excuse but laziness and carelessness, literally was standing in front of this guy waiting for my food, he clearly did not care about his job. Never coming back. Ps management I suggest you train your employees a little better. Do not recommend this establishment. 0 stars

This is a pleasant surprise. The soup base is very authentic and the selection is wide enough to satisfy anyone who has cravings for malatang (spicy soup). For the unoriented, malatang is the Chinese spicy version of Japanese/Korean oden soup where you choose the meat/seafood/veggie on sticks and they "tang" which means cook in hot broth and then serve them in a spicy soup. This is somewhat a simplified version but the highlight is the soup base. Not all spicy soup are created equal and this is one of the better ones in the States.
