As a local Guangxi, this is the place I found in the Bay Area most authentic food of my hometown. I visited almost every week and if you don’t want to join the long line, please be there earlier! To be clear, that “broth just is salt and water”is not for you to drink. You need to add them into the noodle if you want the noodle with soup. Or you can just eat the dried noodles. Wish the servers could tell the customers to avoid misunderstanding.

This place is my go-to whenever I crave guilin noodles. My go-to is the dried noodles or the 老友粉. I've been to this restaurant for the past 2 years and the food quality has always been consistent. They have the new dried stir-fry noodles which they claimed is GF. (top one in pic) we ordered the black pepper beef fried noodles which were pretty good. Highly recommended. Go for: - dry noodles with pork - 老友粉 Skip: - appetizers -drinks (they are okay but you've got other options near by)
Tons and tons of options. A variety of noodles, meats, soups to choose from. The sampler of dry noodles is pretty good but they end up all tasting the same. They have a unique tea that’s specific to Guilin...kinda good but also kinda weird. Parking isn’t fun in this lot. Prices are fair. Three bowls at at 45.
Very unique noodle dish flavor I have yet to find anywhere else. This place is my go-to place for noodles in the area. I usually order one of the combos that come with a little bowl of broth and veggies, and eat as recommended on their menus, eating the spiced noodles without soup at first, then adding the broth that comes on the side to finish off the dish along with all of its flavorful spices. I admit the service of the workers here, in particular the male servers, isn't stellar at times, but the noodles are more than enough to make up for it. Sidenote: The spices on the side.. which I do not know the names of.. can be very spicy, but I highly recommend adding some.
There are three kinds of rice noodles that you can choose from! round, flat, and spindle shapes. Most of meat are cooked by slow stewed in soy sauce, called luwei in Chinese. If you are the first timer, the special bowls rice noodle is recommended. There are quite a lot of spicy selections in the menu. They also offer vegetarian dishes. The place looks nice with Oriental painting over the wall, quite nice!
