Quiet and shiny place. There are families. They play and have a picnic.

Very cool park. Clean and well maintained. Interesting old historic looking buildings, all along a road that runs thru the park. Some buildings have access with historical features within. Clean bathrooms and a bbq area for parties. Easy access and parking. A small ice cream and candy shop in the old hotel.

You can see many Christmas trees in the History Park when you go there currently and you see a historic train that is so beautiful. The History Park is next to the Kelly Park.

Top 3 things to know 1) This historical park features some great highlights such as an old fashioned candy store, fire station, working train and an iconic 'Can Do!' Seward Johnson sculpture. 2) The staff are knowledgeable and friendly and they did a great job of explaining to us a brief history of San Jose - such as why it was once known as the The Valley of Delights. 3) The park itself is quite small, so lends itself well to exploration by children or school groups.

Great place to.visit! Located very close to San Jose State University. It is generally pretty quiet but a fascinating place to.visit!
