Covid nightmare. Overcrowded, staff polishing cutlery with masks under their chins. Piles of dirty hand towels in the bathroom. Spoke to manager, who didn't really care. Guests allowed to walk around with no masks.. no hand sanitizer. Come on guys.

Great food, fast service, and safe COVID precautions. I really liked the Ginger Singaporean Soda and the garlic noodles. Most of the dishes that we ordered were kid friendly and the service was quick. Everyone was wearing masks, social distancing and the food came very quickly. Overall, we had as great of an experience as before the pandemic.

Food was delicious but really disappointed with the cocktails! Too strong a cocktail. The chicken lollipop and the fried calamari was yummylicious

Straits is back in full bloom with pre-covid like crowd. Lots of outdoor seating. Good service and you get your food fast. Getting back here after a long covid lockdown. Feel somehow the taste and flavors have changed. Possibly new chef and cooking team. Roti prata is good as always. Crispy cauliflower was too bland and not cooked well. Nasi goreng (fried rice) ordered with both brown and white rice was lacking the flavor or taste that I’ve experienced here before. Tried ‘Sentosa’ cocktail thinking that may be their specialty since it’s Singaporean but it wasn’t any good. Overall, good place to hangout but expectations for food should be lowered.

My favorite restaurant when I come to Santana Row. The only problem is super long wait if coming during the weekend. Highly recommend Chicken Lollipops, Shrimp Scampi, Deep Fried Brussel Spouts. Excellent service.

My husband, friend and I came to Straits for dinner on a Saturday night. It was around 530pm, and the hostess said we can be seated right away. They asked if outside or inside was preferred (when indoor dining was allowed), and we opted for outside. Food: Strait Fries - these were good, and I enjoyed the sauces it came with Samosas - These were good and crispy! Would order again Vegetarian Mi Goreng - This was good, but a little sweeter than I was expecting Sea bass - My husband got the sea bass, and he thought it was delicious Straits Risotto - My friend got this & it looks so good and full of seafood Pineapple Creme Brûlée - This is seasonal, and we were told it was going to be pumpkin. It was still good, but I wish we got pumpkin. Molten Lava Cake - Warm and delicious Donuts - These were pretty big and good. Great for sharing. Service: Our server was nice and attentive. One of the heat lamps by us went out, and another employee spent a good amount of time trying to fix it for us. I appreciate the effort. TL;DR - Nice food, nice ambience & delicious desserts

An "oldie but a goodie" on Santana Row. In the before times it was a great venue for birthday parties and private events, now it's a great spot for outdoor dining. The patio on the side has heat lamps overhead to keep diners comfortable. The tables on the street has freestanding heat lamps. Service can be a bit slow to start but once food is ordered it shows up quickly, fresh, and hot. Sushi sampler was the one disappointing dish - nothing bad, but nothing special. Shaking Beef was better than I remembered with perfect medium rare steak. Lobster tail garlic noodles was delightful. Drinks are beautifully made. Highly recommended for a nice dinner out.

The atmosphere is nice and the food is decent. The food we ordered was sesame glazed chicken, which was very tasty, definitely recommend that. The place follows Covid protocols but few of the seats are placed right on the sidewalk, which seems a bit too close to people literally walking by you.
