Great way to get back in touch with the great outdoors

We so enjoy Troop 260. The Scouts are so supportive of each other and help teach each other the necessary skills for advancement. I have an Eagle Scout and a Life Scout in the Troop. They particularly love the canoe outings including the 50 mile canoeing adventure, as well as our annual summer camp at Camp-Hi-Sierra. Mom, Dad, and siblings are always welcome on our Troop's monthly adventures; canoeing or backpacking.

My son joined last year after attending one of the meetings and being impressed. He gets to be himself, and he looks up to many of the older Boy Scouts as role models. The troop likes to do outdoor things, and for the boys that want to advance in rank, they are very helpful and guide them to work at their own pace. While the boys run most events, the adult leaders are great (balance having fun, being mellow, and taking safety/organization seriously). We are very happy with the balance and the environment!

Great high adventure troop which has been in Willow Glenn for over 50 years. High leader to Scout ratio w/ over a 100 eagle scouts produced from the ranks of the troop. Troop activities center around both backpacking & canoe trips.

This Troop focuses on 'high adventure' scouting - with weekend outings every month [usually canoeing or backpacking] annual 50-miler expeditions and summer camps. The troop took an early lead on inclusivity in scouting, starting with early support for gay members and now in involving girls and families.
