Absolutely Satisfied with friendly service and was given great information in regards to a pre-buy inspection. Mr. Maycock is knowledgeable in several fields of the aero industry, and prior military. We greatly appreciate his insight and years of service served.

Several years ago, (upon contemplating to bring my M20 there for service): At first glance it seemed to me to be a reputable shop. So I thought to ask around that airport to see how several of the other surrounding business owners rated this business (flight schools, FBOS, private owners and all). Sad to say that their responses were highly unfavorable, and some even felt they were in physical danger due to the bellicosity and hostility of the owner of this business that they had to call the cops. And not only that, the owner had to retest for his mechanics licenses due to and engine failure on a twin. Needless to say, I gave this business a wide berth. This business owner should seek professional help.

Blue Skies Aviation took on the complicated and dynamic project of installing a non-certified constant speed prop system on my Experimental RV-7. They kept me informed about how the project was progressing at all points, and took good care of my aircraft protecting it inside the hangar during multiple week periods that we were waiting on custom parts to be built by manufactures. The project had unexpected challenges that the team at Blue Skies handled like professionals. I also had them perform and conditional inspection (annual) and prop balance. The final bill was fair considering the amount of troubleshooting and research required for the project. And, on my first cross country to Telluride and back, the plane performed beautifully. Thanks, Blue Skies. Highly recommended.

The A&Ps here had so much experience with Mooneys, the owner even built them at one point in time. I was impressed that Blue Skies invests into the best equipment and insurance, it really shows that how much they care. They had our Mooney up and running when they said they would, at the exact price they quoted.

I contacted Blue Skies in March of 2015 regarding a pre-buy inspection on a 1976 Aerostar 601P. I found them through a Google search. The inspection was performed in early April, the report was professional and delivered timely. I purchased the plane based on what the inspection, it was rated \Very Good\. From there it was been a complete downhill run, after spending 38,000 on Annual and squawks from the inspection report, we were finally able to fly the plane away from Blue Skies in mid September. The throttles were so far from being matched and an number of other problems, that on the recommendation of two other Aerostar owners we took the plane to Conroe, TX to another shop. There the owner and former Aerostar employee told me the engines were in \deplorable\ condition: oil leaks, fuel leaks, and serious safety concerns with wires and cables laying on exhaust tubes. The owner at Blue Skies told me that it's not his fault that these wires, cables, and hoses were in such terrible condition, they were never even noted on the on the pre-buy inspection. Needless to say, I feel cheated and dismayed that the owner of Blue Skies would sign off on the Annual with these very dangerous conditions so easily seen and discovered by the other shop. Mr. Maycock does not take ownership that the plane was at this shop for over 4 months and all the dollars invested and this is how he let the airplane leave. It's a disgrace to the fine men and women who take pride in their work for this to happen. I will never return to Blue Skies Aviation and it's been one of the worst experiences I have ever encountered.
