Worst post office in the USA! Don't pick up the phone, packages sit there for days on end, and no one cares. This site needs to be evaluated by a supervisor or someone in charge. Extremely terrible excuse for a post office, a government office. What a joke!

The overnight drop box has been broken for months so you have to come during business hours and wait forever in line just to return a small package. Like come on, at least put another one outside. I don’t see why companies still use this outdated and inefficient government service.

First, I’d like to say that I’m not the type of person to leave negative reviews at the drop of a hat. My wife and I have two small businesses, and we ship at least 25 packages a week, 99% of them are sent through the post office. For delivery times, damages, and overall service, I give the USPS 5 stars. Yes, things do get delayed or damaged every now and again, but that is completely normal. But this review is for the San Marcos, Texas post office, the actual building itself. As far as I know, this post office is relatively new within the past 5-7 years, it used to be downtown in San Marcos. Saying that, this post office seems to be in a bit of disrepair (which is odd for a newer structure). I attached some photos... the overnight drop “barrel” inside the post office has been broken and “Out of Service” since AT LEAST November of 2017 (it is currently August of 2018). The front door has been broken for almost as long. Today I noticed one of the outside mail drop boxes is broken. I do realize that things do break and need repairs, but how long does it take to fix a front door? It looks like it needs a latch and handle, thats it. Its been out of service for at least 6 months. The drop box “barrel” has been broken for 10 months. At this point its just a joke between my wife and I. The people that work here are nice and courteous, and I bet they get sick of people asking when the door and drop box will be fixed. But a front door at a post office, that probably sees a ton of foot traffic, and the package drop that some people might want to use after hours being broken for 6-10 months is just ridiculous.

Mail carrier for our route will not deliver packages. Takes the note that's supposed to be left on the door, and just drops it in the mailbox without even attempting to deliver the package. If I want my package, I have to wait for a day off from work to go stand in line for 20 minutes and ask if I can have my package. There is always a huge line, and they do not answer the phone. If you have a problem, you have to go up there and wait in line. I know it's a funding problem, but somebody get these people what they need to do their jobs. This is horrible
