Wonderful, cozy place with great drinks/tea (and tea service tray - finger sandwiches, scones, dessert). The only downfall was we ordered mussels. I order mussels often (at other restaurants) and these were very gritty, and had gone bad. I get that mussels can go bad but they should at least be cleaned properly. Although, the scones were the best I and my husband (both love scones and have had them in England) have ever had!!

I absolutely love this place! As an out of state visitor who doesn't have access to tea rooms like Dunbar, I am such a fan! I've visited twice in 3 days of my vacation. The food is too quality and delicious. The tea selection is vast and great. The quality of tea is great as well. The service was impressive! The location is a little loud from the traffic but when your stuffing you face with their delicious scones and treats, you don't notice. It's a gem and honestly made a great impression on my trip!

The Dunbar is a lovely place for an afternoon lunch or tea. The new owners have done a wonderful job of decorating for the holidays inside the building. The curry sandwich was excellent. Scones we're good but a bit different then we remember the scones previously and they are certainly smaller inside. But a wonderful experience an ambiance

Food is perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. Nice selections of teas. Loose leaf tea! (not a paper bag staffed with smth!). Deserts are delicious.

Hot Tea....Ice cold service. I’ve recommend the Tea Room to friends and family for over a decade. I took the time to reach out to the management after my grandmother, fiancé and I had a poor experience. I called the restaurant to give constructive criticism regarding the raw scones and close to spoiled pate. The response was just as blah as my servers overall attitude. This is my first google review as it’s not my thing, hence why I called first. I am taking the time to write this as I’m not a wealthy tourist or well off Cape resident who’s able to afford poorly executed highly price meals on the regular. If your expecting to get what you pay for this might not be the place. I’m sure under the current circumstances anyone in the restaurant industry (myself included) is struggling to adapt and meet the day to day challenges of service. This is no excuse. If your in the hospitality business and can’t be hospitable maybe it’s time to consider a new line of work, or offering food that isn’t at a price point that begets higher expectations. Maybe this review will motivate this outfit to reach for higher levels of service. Maybe not.....
