I really enjoy working for BD. I've been with the company for 15 years and at the Sandy location for 10 years. One of the key tenets is "We do what is right" and I've always seen that to be true. The people I work with are fantastic and keep me coming back. It's a great place to work.

BD is a great med-device company to work for. The Sandy site has over 1200 people, and provides a good working environment for its associates. There is opportunity for growth and movement within the company. Would recommend to others.

I have been working in the production field for 15 years, lost job due to covid and joined here. Never seen so many osha violations and disrespect. Management are all married or friends from previous, poor ethics. They don't appreciate change and their warehouse shows from it. 5s and lean are foreign words here. Management lacks training, thus the lower end operators suffer. Pay can be good, but don't speak.

The hiring process is tedious and long. Schedules are crazy, 12 hr rotating schedules increase employees fatigue, increase errors and reduced quality. They only want to produce and never care about you. The people that train you can't even speak English and they are very good on giving you orders, most of them are Asian and expect you to work like a slave as soon as you get there. I gave BD two stars because the orientation is well explained and the people that do it are very nice and professional. But the production area is a very different story.

They only see you as a number.

hiring process is to long and difficult cause a slow third company does it. so if u are planning to start this job soon you need to wait for the slow third party company to do a background thttakes almost one month in one month of search for jobs you can find something faster .i bet is. good company just the hiring process is extremely to long.( third company couldnt even found my previous jobs ..... when applying in other jobs they could......).

This was not the environment for me. My supervisor/trainer was untrained to perform the duty, unapproachable, unhelpful, and undermining. My departments culture was closed. A good old boys club. In 6 months they lost three permanent employees and ALL new employees being trained in my tenor. Hours are long, weeks are long. 5 days 12 hours be prepared to give up everything else. New employees get late reviews and small pay increases. Management was unresponsive to dealing with concerns and the company may tell you there is a no retaliation policy but it does not apply to their HR department. Work, keep your mouth shut, speak to no one, and don't forget to frown and you'll fit right in.
