We love the Historic Downtown Sanford area! Over the past few years they have really built up a lot more to offer than they have had previously. There is a fun little farmer's market in the middle of the downtown area every weekend. New restaurants and bars have popped up recently and all of them have been great! From a mom and pop owned used book shop, to antique stores, to modern and 'hip' newly built bars, they have it all! Be sure to try and go during holiday seasons as they frequently do store front decor competitions and holiday lights. Overall: A Love this historic area and all the new changes they've made in recent years to bring it back to life.

Just moved to the area. Places seem more for an evening rather then the day time. Can’t wait for more businesses and establishments to flourish. Definitely has potential to be the next booming area for professionals and young families!

Decent array of local vendors and restaurants. The parking is generally free from what I saw. The parks along Lake Jesup are nice too. Don't stray too far from the main streets, however, the surrounding area isn't the best.

Food truck event with a band, can't beat it. Prime rib sandwich and oysters on the half shell topped off with ice cream and a churro. People were relaxed and enjoying life safety
